Dr. Lawrence DuBuske
Dr. Lawrence DuBuske MD
Professor Lawrence DuBuske serves as an Affiliate Physician at George Washington University Hospital, Washington, DC, USA, joining the Division of Allergy and Immunology, Department of Internal Medicine at George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates in Washington, DC, in December 2010, where he has served as Clinical Professor of Medicine at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences commencing in 2010.
He serves as Director of the Immunology Research Institute of New England, Gardner, Massachusetts since 1989 and its founding. He is a Consulting Physician at U. Mass Memorial HealthAlliance Hospital, Leominster, Massachusetts, Past Faculty Member at Harvard Medical School, and a Past Consulting Physician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, MA (1981-2010) where he was the Allergy Fellowship Training Program Director in the mid 1990 serving with Professors K. Frank Austen and Albert Sheffer. He graduated from Northwestern University School of Medicine, Chicago, Illinois in 1978 with Distinction and as President of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society chapter there. His education in allergy began in 1976 under Professor Roy Patterson, serving in the allergy field now for 50 years.

He is the Past President of INTERASMA Global Asthma Association (2017-2018) and Past President, current Treasurer of the American Association of Certified Allergists and Distinguished Fellow, Past Regent, Past Speaker of the House of Delegates, American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and Fellow, past Chair of the Practice Standards Council, American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians; the American College of Rheumatology; and the American College of Physicians. He is a Platinum Member of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.

Dr. DuBuske is listed on the Publons Web of Science under Research Investigator ID AAV 3402-2020, which notes his 691 publications, 1351 citations, and Hirsch Index of 20. He has been an investigator in over 90 clinical trials and has provided over 3,000 lectures during the past 40 years, including over 1000 invited lectures in continuing medical education accredited programs in the United States and abroad and over 2000 educational lectures related to allergy and asthma therapeutics in non-CME programs throughout the United States.

He also is Director of Immunology Research Institute of New England - IRINE- a non profit foundation he founded in 1989 which has developed a consortium of over 30 research sites in Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Poland, Hungary, Slovenia and Czech Republic. He has been given a variety of Awards including 2 citations from the Polish Allergy Society; and awards from the Danylo Halytsky Lviv Medical University, Lviv, Ukraine including the Honorary Medal for Professionalism and Integrity from LOKDL, Lviv, Ukraine; the I.P. Lerner medal for contribution to the development allergology from the Ukrainian Society of Allergy and Immunology (UTIAI) ; and Honorary Medal on the 125 Anniversary of the Lviv Scientific Shevchenko Society, Lviv, Ukraine; and has been awarded Honorary Professorships including at Bogomolets Medical University in Kyiv, Ukraine; at the Crimean State Medical University in Simferopol, Crimea; at the Belarussian Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology, Minsk, Belarus; and at the Russian Federal Institute of Immunology, Moscow, Russia. He was the sole US sponsor for 2 USAID grants to the Russian Federal Institute of Immunology, 1990s for study of splice variant Interleukin 4. He was given an official letter of gratitude for IRINE activity in Eastern Europe from then US President Bill Clinton and an award for IRINE activity in Massachusetts from then Governor Michael Dukakis and State Representative Chet Suhoski.

He has served as a consultant to numerous pharmaceutical companies including Novartis (Rapsido-remibrutinib and Xolair-omalizumab) and Genentech (Xolair); GSK (Trelegy; Nucala-mepolizumab; and Depemokimab-ulaa); Astra Zeneca (Fasenra-benralizumab; Tezspire-tezepelumab-ekko, Symbicort and Air Supra) Sanofi and Regeneron (Dupixent-dupilumab); Amgen (Tezspire) and ALK (SLIT- grass; ragweed and dust mite). Currently he is lead US Consultant for Allergy Therapeutics a British company in Worthing, England in the development of Modified Allergen MPL Immune Adjuvanted Immunotherapy for grass pollen and ragweed pollen; and Virus Like Particle (VLP) Peanut desensitization Immunotherapy.

Dr. DuBuske is an internationally acclaimed expert speaker on topics including allergic rhinitis, antihistamines, asthma, allergic diagnostics, allergen immunotherapy, latex allergy, and new therapies including biologics in asthma and chronic rhinosinusitis/nasal polyposis, in Eosinophilic Esophagitis, in Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria, in Atopic Dermatitis and in COPD He is an expert on anti-eosinophil and anti-cytokine therapies, and immunopathology of allergic and Type 2 inflammatory disorders.
